Bible Schools and the Bible:

Many Christians go to Bible school when they get out of high school. Many of these young men and women truly want to learn more about God's Word. In many cases, it is also a way for students to see the world. They likely want to meet new people and make friends. However, the Bible never mentions going somewhere to a school to learn about the scriptures. In the New Testament Church, everyone was trained in the assembly meetings of believers. Biblical training was also done at home.
When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. (2 Timothy 1:5)
This verse shows that the faith was first in Timothy's grandmother and mother, and he was taught by them. Paul wouldn't word the passage "dwelt first," unless it was transferred to Timothy by them, instead of through a school or by Paul himself.
Most Bible schools and seminaries do not hold to sound doctrine. This is unfortunate, but it is not surprising, since Satan wishes to destroy a Christian's faith. At a Bible school you will likely have many young men that will become pastors. By getting an apostate teacher into a seminary, Satan can corrupt many, many people at once. As the Apostle Peter wrote:
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (1 Peter 5:8)
The Bible schools are a place where apostasy spreads, first to the minds of the scholars, and from there to the assemblies of believers far and near. When someone tries to spread a false teaching, they usually start with the young people, who are influenced most easily. It is hard to change a sixty-year-old person's mind, but a child or young person's mind can be changed very easily. A person's mind can be likened unto modeling clay. The child or young person's mind is pliable, and can be quickly conformed to a teaching or new idea. But the elder mind was formed long ago, and is too firm to be easily changed.
This is why Bible schools are dangerous. They have taken many young people's minds, and have conformed them to the false teachings of these days. Even people who may have been thought to be stable under the devil's fire, have been subjected to the false teachings and doctrines, and are much, much farther away from God.
